All Porcelain Crowns to Beautifully Restore Tuscaloosa’s Teeth

Your teeth are made to chew things.

But once in a while, you chew something you shouldn’t – a popcorn kernel, some ice – and your tooth breaks. Or you have an old metal filling and chewing hurts. Even a neglected cavity can make it hard for your teeth to do their job. That’s where our beautiful, tooth-strengthening crowns come in.

Do I Really Need a Crown?

Crowns really can save your teeth. We use pure porcelain dental crowns when a tooth can’t be saved by other means such as composite fillings or porcelain veneers. Crowns are usually used when the tooth is brittle or weak, after a root canal, when metal fillings have damaged the tooth, or when the area of damage or decay is too large for other restorations. Our patients are amazed at how great their teeth feel and look after a porcelain dental crown has been placed.

All Porcelain Crowns

Whether or not we use all porcelain crowns or not depends on the case. We love to offer them to our patients because they look so natural, mimicking the tooth’s natural layers without any darkness at the gum line.

If your restoration is in teeth that take the brunt of the chewing force, or if you are a grinder, we may recommend porcelain-fused-to-metal to stand up to the pressure.

No matter where your damage is or what your needs are, we will make sure your crown is comfortable and looks great – and that you can chew again!
